about

This was the first song I wrote since middle school. It started me on my path, so I named the album after it.

lyrics

I'm awake
I'm awake to the noises, awake to the smells
I've yet to distinguish this place from my hell
Have I broken my own spell?
I'll never know

But time goes by quickly and slowly
And I don't know which one's the real me
I float through space
Which way is upwards?
A cosmic race no one can win

But I'll be fine
I don't care what you say
I'll be fine
You'll think what you want anyway

My road may be winding, but I'll get there, see
'Cause weaving those pieces I will become me

In my head
I'm always getting stuck in my head
I see so much promise
I see so much dread
Now I'm going to dreamland
You'll find me in bed

Time stands so still looking in judgement
And I won't care
Not for a moment
Just you wait, I'm going upwards
I'll see you there with a big smile

But I'll be fine
I don't care what you say
I'll be fine
You'll think what you want anyway
My road may be winding, but I'll get there see
'Cause weaving those pieces I will become me
